The best winter / wet and all round tyre with exceptional grip in wet conditions, quiet & safe I have ever used. Not the cheapest but worth every penny, will definitely use again without any doubt.

Have tried lots of different snow tyres over years and put these on my 3 series touring to replace the Pirelli zero’s. If anything I thought they ran quieter than the zero’s and plenty of grip in both dry and wet conditions. Used the in snow as well and kept everything moving which is all you want from a snow tyre.
15.01.2026fromJames
As my Volvo is a rear wheel drive automatic I always use winter tyres. Previously had Goodyear ultra grip 9 and still have them on the front. New Goodyear ultra grip 3 on rear. We're great in the recent snow, where front wheel drives were getting stuck, no doubt on summer tyres.
11.01.2025fromAndy Duff
An extremely sure-footed winter tyre that blurs the transition from my summer to winter wheels. As good as it gets.

Slightly noisier at low speeds than I had expected (my Cooper winter tyres are quieter) although the relative noise abates at higher speeds. They're pretty firm on bumpy roads where I drive most often. Superb for motorway driving in terms of low noise and excellent ride comfort.
01.08.2020fromRob
Great wearing tyre, plenty of grip in the wet and dry. Wearing better the Goodyear F1's I had on the car before. Will definitely buy again.
29.04.2020fromMr Doorbar
These tyres were OE on my 2017 Passat Estate so I stuck with the same when it came to replacing the fronts. I'm still on the original rears. The fronts did around 24K miles while the tread left of the rears gives me around another 10K at least. However, the tyres walls on the rear have slight cracking even though they haven't been curbed and if get worst it will become an MOT failure at the cars first MOT this year. The one area where these tyres are weakest are the road noise. I'm sure there are quieter tyres out there but they may be weaker in other areas. On the whole these Pirellis are more than suitable for any family car.

I bought these tyres because I do occasional track days. If I drive hard on a track day the outer edge of my front tyres are heavily worn. I wanted a tyre that would withstand a track day, but still be good for everyday use. This tryre is perfect for this. Not outer edge issues at all on track day and plenty of grip in wet winter on normal roads. My fuel consumption has increased a lot. I do not know if this is the tyres (only fitted on front) or because I am doing shorter trips due to lock down.
16.08.2018fromOllie
For a summer tyre, these are great in the wet, adimitadly there's still plenty of tread left so this could be part of this. A lot of people said these were no good in the wet, that's rubbish. Damp or wet roads these still have better levels of grip than a normal road tyre, they just don't handle standing water very well (As would be expected this this type of tyre). As long as you drive to the conditions you won't have any issues with rain. I've even had 3 days in the snow with these...lets just make it clear these are NOT snow tyres but they done suprisingly well. The only thing I noticed is that you have to warm them up, when cold they seem a bit loose. After a few minutes driving they get to decent levels of grip but you need to drive a bit harder than normal road conditions to get them to full potential. It would have been nice if they were still available in this size with the softer compound. They are on the latest MSA list 1B though so don't get caught out - some of the smaller events like the autosolos won't allow you to run with them. The side walls are stiff enough to give some sharp turn in but you trade that off with road noise and a stiffer ride but again that is to be expected. All in all these are great tyres for the price.

Firestone tyres

About Firestone as a trusted tyre brand

Firestone is one of the trusted budget tyre brands that we have in store for you. While Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was originally founded in 1900, it is no longer an independent company. Instead, Firestone became a subsidiary of Bridgestone, one of the largest tyre makers in the world, in 1988. About 40,000 employees are working for this brand, which exclusively manufactures tyres. This billion-dollar company once started out small, but quickly became an important player in the international tyre maker thanks to its close partnership with Ford Motor Company, which Firestone provided with quality OEM tyres.

Firestone in the motorsport world

Firestone has even been able to make a name for itself in the motorsport and racing world. After all, the first vehicle, which was running on Firestone tyres, was able to score a victory at Indianapolis 500 in 1911, only eleven short years after the founding of the company, already. From 1920 to 1966, all cars that won this race were in fact equipped with Firestone wheels, which speaks volumes for the outstanding wheel quality that this brand was able to provide early on.
