09.05.2014 from Gerry
I don't drive the car hard but even so these tyres have lasted a long time with even wear and still at least 4mm left after 15k. I would prefer more comfort but this is probably due to the 18 inch wheels and not the tyres. They do tramline a bit but I cannot compare to any other brand.
30.11.2011 from Keith Farrow
capable, but for the price there are far better tyres out there. Had PS2's and Conti's before, both gave much sharper handling. The P Zeros seem to wander, and tramline a lot.

First 15.000 kms tyre is fine, good grip on dry, very good comfort. grip in snow is worthless. braking in wet conditions deteriorates fast after 15.000 kms. at 30.000 kms (and this is for the second time) all 4 tyres (I have FWD, and did not swap front/after) are deformed. driving between 90kmh and 140kmh gives knocking sound. Drinving 105-110kmh makes car shake. Pirelli already changed me 4 tyres and I got 2 for free because of this problem. Now I'm 32.000kms futher and it's the same problem all over again. I am not a sporty driver, and it's too bad I did not know this site earlier. I would never hace let pirelli put me 4 new tyres. Even at 2 for free it's expensive per km.

Used purely as a track tyre. Super focused, brilliant feedback in all conditions. Really competent in the wet as they give huge amounts of feedback and never just go, even when there’s standing water on track. Wear is pretty good, I’ve done 3 hard track days, one of them being bone dry and they’ve held up well. Rears are in great condition and expect they’ll last multiple days out. Fronts should do several more days out before changing.

27.05.2023 from Dick E
Long distance motorway driving mainly. No excessive speed, braking or other maneuvering. Little recent experience of real winter conditions.
30.03.2020 from Daniel
Perfect tyres for this country, I am not worrying about winters and raining summer, tyres working superb all season. Quiet and comfortable
18.01.2019 from Maz
Initially not that impressed but after an adjustment period/ bedding in found the tyre to be very consistent in almost all conditions. Only slightly let down in tight roundabout wet conditions (has a tendency to go into very slight understeer) but not always. Tyre performance seems very sensitive to maintaining the correct/ recommended tyre pressures. In recent days the temperature has dropped to just about freezing where these tyres have really started to show their winter biased abilities. Great grip and response ind dry and cold wet conditions. One worthy point to add to potential purchasers is that I thought I had purchased the "seal inside" version but had not. This stock of old and new by tyre suppliers is frustrating. Other than that I would recommend the tyre for the sensible non sporty driver.

16.12.2025 from Edward Nunn
these are on my track/fun car and replaced the 20 year old tyres on it which came with the car, they completely changed the performance of the car, for the better, they grip exceptionally, especially when set to optimum pressure for the conditions, and hold traction under very heavy braking. They are as described a dry weather tyre with the ability to just about cope in the wet, and my experience is of dry track days with a very wet drive cross country the day before a track day which was ok, although i could feel a massive loss in traction crossing white lines on the motorway, and the morning before a track day driving through wet cool lanes which required a huge amount of care and attention not to end up in a hedge.

Worst tyre I've ever had. Despite only being on rear axle of fwd car, it seriously upset the steering. Very noisy (whiny) and took 10% off fuel economy. Did help in snow but awful in wet and dry. It's more like an off road tyre. Very good wear (unfortunately!) as only lost 1.5mm over 16000 km. had to replace them as felt unsafe.

Dunlop tyres

Learn more about Dunlop

Dunlop certainly is one of the most well-known tyre makers in the entire world. This company was established in 1888, when John Boyd Dunlop came up with his first patent for bicycle tyres. While the first tyre production facility opened in Ireland in 1889, Dunlop is now based in Hanau, Germany. In fact, this popular tyre maker opened its first factory in Germany in 1893, which is to say that Dunlop can look back on a long history in Germany as well. As of 2007, Dunlop had about 4,600 employees and was able to proudly look back on hundreds of millions in annual sales. Over time, Dunlop kept opening new factories in Germany, which were located in the following cities:

 • Hanau
 • Fürstenwalde/ Spree
 • Wittlich
 • Riesa
 • Fulda
 • Philippsburg

Each of these factories was able to produce more than 30,000 wheels per day. Of course, Dunlop tyres aren’t only available on the German market, but did rather well in the following markets, too: Russia, Australia, US, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, and Europe.

Exploring the Dunlop tyre range

As was mentioned already, this tyre specialist offers quality wheels for all kinds of vehicles. From motorsports tyres to 4x4 and regular car tyres, Dunlop has it all. Commercial tyres, bus, and truck tyres also make up an important part of the Dunlop range. Many leading car makers have opted for Dunlop tyres as well. In turn, you might find that your Audi, Mercedes AMG, Jaguar, VW, BMW, or Renault vehicle even came with wheels by Dunlop in the first place, which says a lot about these quality of these tyres.
