Just avoid, unless you live in Finland or something. Driving in WET and Dry, just terrible grip and I have a 4x4 Subaru with LSD. It's shocking really. Unless you drive really slow, it's OK then, but come roundabout they just don't grip doesn't matter wet or dry. Good in snow, but it should be at least good in wet as well and OK in dry, but It's crap in both wet and dry, so not good for me, will not buy again.
05.06.2019 from Ash
I didn't get these on until Feb/Mar when worst of the weather had passed. Driven on main roads & motorways at temps between 3°c and 16°c in mixed weather without problems. Obviously they were less responsive at the higher temps but never felt dangerous. No sign of wear at all. Dry road grip when accelerating lost traction a bit too easily but cornering was predictable.

28.06.2025 from Charles Hillman
The tyres perform well. At that price I would expect no less. (But Michelins tend to cost even more than Continentals.) We don't get a lot of snow in Essex, England these days, but when we lived in parts of Germany where (at least then) it snowed in winter we always found Continental Winter Tyres performed well. And indeed I've left the winter tyres on for the summer this year. Partly through laziness. But also, low profile summer tyres look "cool" with alloy in the show rooms, but with all the pot holes and broken roads here in England, slightly thicker tyres on (slightly smaller) steel rims offer better resilience (and comfort). Economy penalty must existnotably inrespect of fuel, but appears very marginal as long as the tyres remain fully inflated. Which (so far) they do without frequent top-ups. Though I appreciate that reading what I just wrote makes me sounds very old. Ainsi soit il. And it still feels odd to be asked to review Winter Tyres in June.
09.11.2023 from Michael Yates
These are great winter tyres which I run all year round ( living in rural Wales). The problem is getting them in the size I need. I generally have to order at least 3 months before I am going to need them so this review is actually for the tyres I bought two years ago and which still have about 5000 miles (8000 km) wear left. The original summer tyres fitted to the car when I bought it new only lasted 25000 miles so these Continentals actually represent good value for money - and they don’t skid on muddy farm tracks in summer. I had a puncture and the runflat function worked well. But these tyres cannot be repaired by the usual method and there was no chance of getting a new pair of tyres in this size (have to replace in pairs on this car). My only option was the ‘slime’ injection which has worked perfectly. No loss of pressure over the last 5000 miles.
18.03.2022 from Claire Hunter
A much more balanced and user friendly tyre than the Pirelli winters they replaced which were supplied by BMW. Less tramlining. More precise grip and steering yet also more comfortable ride. Unable to accurately comment on fuel consumption as I haven’t monitored it that closely. Snow use not really tested this winter in the UK so can’t comment with any true experience.

I've used Sottozero on the car for 9 years, and found them all to be excellent, providing road security over the winter in the UK

This is an excellent tyre, first class grip in snow and ice and also works very well in the summer, although I believe this is not recommended.

About Bridgestone And Why Invest In Bridgestone Winer Tyres

Bridgestone is one of the most common tyre brands all over the globe. The Bridgestone Corporation is a Japanese multinational company that manufactures automotive and truck parts. This company was founded in Kurume in Fukuoka, Japan. The first Bridgestone tyre came out in 1930 under the name Tabi Socks Tyre division. The founder of this company Shojiro Ishibashi changes the name to Bridgestone Tyre Co Ltd in 1931. Bridgestone is dedicated to making safer and high-quality products for its consumers. The Bridgestone winter tyres are the right tyres that allow you to drive confidently and comfortably through snow, slush, and ice. This is because of the use of special treading compound and soft rubber technology.

The Features Of Bridgestone Winter Tyres

The Bridgestone winter tyres offers excellent wet and winter road performance that is second to none. You can buy qualityBridgestone tyres at attractive prices than the traditional tyre stores when you buy them from the online store Tyres-outlet.co.uk.

 • These icy tyres are offered with new tread compound on the top to improve the braking on wet, slushy and snowy roads. They will also have a very confident grip on the road.
 • There are plenty of next generation high sipes used on the tyres to offer excellent ice and snow traction. This is due to the increased number of biting edges on the tyre.
 • These quality snow tyres have large shoulder blocks that ensure precise road handling while cornering.
