These tyres are good value and perform safely and well when used within legal parameters on UK roads. One slight negative is road surfaces can sometimes make tyre noise quite high but other than that I will definitely buy them again.
12.09.2024 from Michael
The tyres were 7/10 when I got them, the wet straight line grip is great the dry performance is above average. Quiet and comfortable tyres. The tyre wear is poor, I had new arms, tie rods, drop links and bushings as well as alignment done afterwards. The tyres showed excessive wear on the edge after only 8000 miles. I always check tyre pressure every week.

09.11.2025 from Neil McTear
Far better grip than the Falkens that came with the car, although they still had lots of tread left, they were old and on removal it was found the sidewalls and beads were perished, and were the wrong size. Toyo are current the only manufacturer producing 205/45-15's and these had previously been unavailable for the previous decade, the improvement in both grip and roadholding is impressive, can't comment on wear yet due to limited mileage, fuel consumption difference - I haven't checked.
30.05.2022 from David Hardiman
Huge difference with the new Toyo Tires compared to the older ones I had on the car. These are the best tires I have ever used.
09.12.2019 from Sebastian Dysarski
Good tire soft side wall so corners are average. But overall good price was okay wouldn’t pay more
14.11.2019 from Joe
I drive an SW20 MR2 on (almost) original tyre sizes (Rear 225/50/15 and Front 205/50/15), so my choice is limited. For over a decade I've used the original Proxes as they were pretty good all-rounders and good value. The new version are very good in the dry - communicative and grippy, you can feel the back end start to let go and everything is progressive and fun. However, the tread pattern gives me zero confidence in the wet as the pattern is in a v direction on one side of the car and a ^ direction on the other. Not a mistake, the "Outside" markings insist this way round. This has to have a huge impact on clearing standing water as the tread is reversed on one side of the car, so I have zero confidence in the wet as each side of the car will behave differently. Bring back the old style that were ^ all round please!

First time use Maxxis tyres, has worn on front wheels. Can’t believe that tyres from budget class, for me a lot better than previous Uniroyal Rainsport 3. Quality to price, definitely recommended, probably will use again.
01.02.2019 from Richard
These tyres are quiet and grip well in the dry. They also brake well in the wet too and have good aquaplaning resistance. Fuel economy is fine too. However, on a wet road when going around a roundabout at anything over 25mph they loose lateral grip and the car slides sideways. If you push on the power then they completely break off and the car understeers. I am used to it now and drive gently but could be a bit dangerous for those who aren't experienced drivers. Also on cold damp roads they lose traction at low speeds when turning full lock in a manouvere, sending the ESP system off. I am disappointed because of this and won't buy again or recommend.
26.01.2019 from Alan
The worst fault i have found with these tyres are cornering. Even at relatively slow speed the vehicle slides, giving up grip rather easy. They remind me of a set of Falcons a purchased a few year back. Not good. Apart from that, an all round decent cheap tyre. Previous tyre i had on Accord were Michelon. A hard act to follow but at £185 a corner !!!!

Been pleased with these Nexen tyres, perform well in snow and ice here in Scotland.
11.04.2022 from KS
Fuel economy and comfort seem fine, grip on wet roads is pretty terrible, wheelspin going uphill and lift-off oversteer are something I’ve never experienced in this car in 200km of ownership until I fitted these tyres. Will be going back to Blizzaks for winter.
29.04.2020 from Mark
We purchased these tyres for use in the ski season in the alps. They were excellent, the car gripped and stopped well. I never had to use snow chains. I would buy them again but I have no points of reference as to how they compare against other tyres.
10.05.2019 from Matt Henson
I was surprised how good these tyres are, winter tyres are never supreme performers in the wet and when they let go, you do notice! Tread ware is awesome, they are lasting a lot longer than summer tyres (perhaps because you can't push them as hard and a standard D5 can dump too much power on the front wheels) They are quiet but essentially they work well on snow and ice. This was the second time I have purchased this set of winter tyres. Winter 2023 I drove across Czech republic where a heavy snowfall suprised us on the way. With those tyres absolutely no problem, felt safe.
26.04.2024 from Hamish Reid
Able drive through dry snow >15cm and on incline. Had one drive on wet snow that was up to 15cm in depth which only had minor slipping.
09.05.2022 from Eamon Quirke
All good 👍
12.01.2022 from Lee cook
Tyres have performed well so far it's still early January so haven't been able to test their performance in the snow yet but they feel reasuring in the wet the car needed tyres when we brought it so a wear comparison will be difficult but I expect then to wear quicker than standard tyres as the compound is bound to be softer on a winter tyre

Nice Budget tyres with that wide and quattro drive its hard to say it lose a grip or brake bad.
02.05.2022 from Alan
Just put these on the rear of my car. The were fitted on a wet day when the roads were greasy. With the tyres being brand new I was expecting wheel spin when I put the foot down. Nope, not a bit, the tyres bit hard. Even on the motorway at 120 kph when I put the foot down I could feel the extra grip and push which added to the driving pleasure and thrill. I've tried spinning the rear wheels in the wet but they just seem to grip really well.

These are an excellent alternative to the Michelin Alpin A3 which I have historically run. They were cracking before wearing out. I needed something that would stick the power of the vehicle and be controllable. These fit the bill admirably.

BF Goodrich tyres – owned by Michelin

At the tyres-outlet.co.uk store, you cannot just shop for quality Michelin tyres, but many of its more budget-friendly brands as well. After all, the infamous French tyre maker has acquired the rights to a number of other wheels companies in order to bring you a massive wheel selection in nearly ever price segment imaginable. As such, BF Goodrich tyres are your cheaper alternative to Michelin wheels. From road to all terrain and 4x4 wheels, BFGoodrich has it all. Whether you are shopping for winter or summer tyres by this company, finding the correct size is important, which is precisely what we are here to help you with. Should you have any further questions, you can also contact us directly.

BF Goodrich tyres

BFGoodrich – your American tyre brand

Originally, BF Goodrich was an independent American tyre maker that was founded in 1870. However, all of that changed in 1990, when Michelin took over. Since then, BF Goodrich tyres have been offered by the subsidiary of the popular French tyre giant. From truck to car tyres, the motto at BF Goodrich is still “take control” and the product assortment continues to be huge. 4x4 and light truck wheels also supplement the range. Given that many of these wheels are considered high-performance tyres, you might even like to use them with your racing vehicle. Of course, our detailed product descriptions will let you know everything that you need to know before you make your final purchase decision.
