Super quiet, lovely ride comfort, but also perform brilliantly in the wet. Not had a chance to test this set in snow, but a previous set were excellent on packed snow.
17.06.2022 from M Bradley
Side walls made of Cheese clipped a stone on the road, nothing big, ripped the sidewall, and broke the beading wire, Tyre was 3 days old. in 40 plus years of driving ive never had a bead wire break on a tyre, the garage had never seen one either. contacted continental and was ignored. last time i will ever have these tyre or continental on my vechicals.
22.05.2022 from Phil
These tyres are the best I have ever had. They are excellent in wet conditions and perfect in snow

24.06.2024 from Des
Great tyres , good all round grip, as I live in Scotland the seasons change every 5mins, with plenty of rain & the odd bit of snow , I do some off road driving and never got the car stuck, I do run this type of tyre all year round , but as the car is quite light I always change my tyres when they get down to 3mm , I think this is far safer ,
01.04.2024 from Robert
The tyres perform unbelievably well. Braking and grip in the wet is just phenomenal. Outstanding performance. Superb and consistent grip in heavy persistent rain along French motorway to the UK, long and short journeys.
16.05.2023 from Racer 1974
I went for the BMW approved (star marked) Blizzak and I’m very happy with the tyres. I’ve had Conti Winter Contact on previous cars and in regular use I would say the Blizzak is very comparable. The car retains decent steering feel and traction on wet and dry roads plus offers a far greater level of grip on snow/slush over a regular tyre. Ride comfort seems pretty much unchanged, as always with winters there is a little more noise but it’s slight and after 5 minutes you don’t notice! Fuel consumption does increase very slightly over the summer tyres BUT that could be down to the cold weather as much as the tyres!
11.05.2023 from Sam Summers
I bought these so that I wouldn't have any mishaps during the winter in my beloved car. I was worried that it would be a nightmare to drive in the snow due to being rear wheel drive and its power. I put these tyres on the front and different winter tyres on the rear and never had any problems at all - very surprised and impressed!

08.06.2026 from Nicholas Baker
The tyres were used to drive from London to Lech in Austria in February when there was a lot of snow on the roads in the Alps. The Pilot Alpin 5 were on the front wheels of my car and 265/30 - 20 Pilot Alpin PA4 were on the rear axle. I would have preferred to have Pilot Alpin 5 on the rear axle but they are not available in this size.
30.05.2026 from Tom Batey
Tyres were superb in the French Alps where we spent the winter skiing. Absolutely fantastic in very snowy and icy conditions
23.05.2023 from Paula Carroll
The grip is excellent especially on wet surfaces. We change to summer tyres for even better grip in warmers weather so have not used them as summer tyres
28.08.2020 from BvdH
I have been driving the Alpin 5 & 6 all year round (never change back to summers anymore). Michelins are safe and break very well in summer and winter despite what the manufacturers say, although I only have experience with Michelin Alpin winter tyres. In the UK it's never 35 degrees for any length of time hence the reason for keeping them on the car in the summer. Can't fault grip either in both winter and summer and in addition to this tyre wear is fantastic. 44000 miles on front tyres (Alpin 5 now replaced by Alpin 6), 66000 miles on rear tyres (Alpin 5). The tyres got through the MOT on an advisory, so next time round I would replace the tyres sooner.

Work really will in 150m of snow and they are really quite for winter tyres even on the motorway at 70 MPH would recommend these tyres even on ice they work will that much when you get out of car in car park covered in ice you slip because you don't realise its that bad with ice

17.03.2024 from Mr. Terry Brown
When I purchased my vehicle (preowned) it came with Nexen tyres on all four corners. I had to change the two front tyres after a few years and choose Goodyears. Last year I had to change the front tyres again because the Goodyears had worn considerably, whilst still having the same Nexens on the rear of the car since I purchased it. Hence stick with the Nexens. When I need to change the rear tyres I will definitely choose Nexens.
01.06.2023 from Richard Chappell
I was not sure about purchasing these tyres at 1st, but I'm pleased I gave them a go as they have performed brilliantly, Even tyre wear all the way around, kept good shape and performed very well.
10.05.2023 from Andy
Low noise (quieter than the continentals the car had as standard). Good grip all weather tyre. Had several Winguard sports before. Recommended.

I like that quality of wet grip while driving do not diminish during the time of use.
28.07.2024 from Philpott
Compared with my previous Michelins, and the Pirelli summer tyres, these disappoint. No confidence in the snow and they felt unnatached in the wet.

20.02.2021 from Max E
I would like to say that these tyres saved our bacon this winter. We had lots of snow and ice over January and February this year and the tyres never lost an ounce of grip. Even when others were stuck and lost in snow drifts, the Scout got through. I was concerned about the wear of the tyres (bring softer than summet tyres but there was little wear showing on the Winter Tyres). Highly recommended for high speed road driving or off-road snowdrifts!

Everything about the tyres is excellent.
15.11.2022 from Glenn Briden
This is a SNOW tire I don't plan on doing track days with it.. NO it is not as good as my Summer tires in the Dry or Wet it is not made for this it's a SNOW tire give it some slush, Snow, Mild Ice and they are Great. Yup they make some noise thats expected. The trade off I think is fair though they have put a pretty good dent in my fuel milage guess that is the price you have to pay for safety.
06.07.2022 from wouldnotbuyfrom mytyres again
To be honest I have not had a chance to use these tyres because mytyres.co.uk took about two months to delver them to my home in the UK so I had to buy some other tyres from my local garage for my MOT. The tyres look fine to me but they are still sat in their packaging unused. mytyres.co.uk however wasted my time and money with multiple phone calls to couriers, their office, and a lot of misinformation and incorrect details from them about what was going on, so I won't be using them again. I was actually shocked at how bad their service was.

Why Use 205/65 R16 Winter Tyres For Your Car?

As the temperatures come down, many car owners would be looking to invest in winter tyres. There is no way hard compound tyres should be used on the winter roads as they will not offer the necessary grip and traction needed. The safety of the passengers is in doubt when riding on the summer tyres. This is why it is advised to use the soft rubber compound filled cold weather tyres that offer better grip even when temperatures go below 7°C. The tread pattern on these 205/65 R16 Winter Tyres has a different tread pattern. The sipes cut into the tread block that easily bites into the snow. This will help in better grip on the slush and the snow.

The Advantages Of Using 205/65 R16 Winter Tyres For Your Car

 • The winter tyres for sale at Tyres-outlet.co.uk will perform very well on snow.
 • These icy tyres are made of softer rubber compound and hence will be very flexible. They can easily adjust to the varying winter conditions.
 • The tread pattern of the tyres is designed to offer very good grip on the cold and the wet weather conditions.
 • The right 205/65 R16 Winter Tyres have deeper tread designs to offer better grip and to repel the water from the tyre’s surface. These tyres have very good resistance to hydroplaning and also the snow does not stick a lot to the surface.
 • The tyres are made using the right tread compound and design to offer very good contact with the tyre’s surface.

How To Choose 205/65 R16 Winter Tyres For Your Car?

There is a lot to think when buying the 205/65 R16 Winter Tyres. You should go for tyres that are made using the soft rubber compound. Make sure that you choose the winter time tyres that have more natural rubber in it. These soft rubber compound tyres will stay soft even in low temperatures. The tread blocks also need to be given a look. Choosing tyres with sipes filled tread blocks will boost the surface area on the road and ensure that tyres stay in constant contact with the road. This way the road traction will be greatly improved and the safety on snowy roads is increased. These winter road tyres will have deeper tread grooves and unique design so that it can repel away snow, and water from its surface quickly.
