Really poor wear. Would not buy again. Was getting near 20k miles on cheaper brands. Expected more from Firestone
21.01.2020fromJames
These tyres perform well, they're comfortable and they're quiet, but they're fragile and wear too quickly. They get punctured and damaged really easily and don't last as long as I would expect. I've had two full sets of these tyres but after yet another puncture I'm sick of constantly having to change them so I've had them all replaced with another brand. I won't buy these again and I don't recommend them.

Very good Tyre, low noise, very good in the wet.

Excellent driving experience on these tyres. They feel safe, sturdy and solid on the road in heat, heavy rain, slippery roads due to mud, country roads, uneven and good surfaces, I have not yet tried in snow or ice. To any walkers reading this, they feel like vibram soles for my car!

tyres only have well below normal 6.5mm tread from new and mine were worn down to 4.1 mm tread after 400 miles plus one developed a bulge. Worst tyres ever only have perhaps 1 years life

The most expensive conti's I've ever purchased (x4) Ouch!! I've bought a lot of other conti's in the past. Inc Sportcontact & Uniroyal tyres. Ecocontact5 are noisy, very average grip levels in wet & dry conditions. Poor wear levels for a so called eco tyre :-( Neither do I like the feel of them during cornering. I will not buy these budget/mid range level tyres again. I really don't have anything positive to say about these tyres. Apart from when I'm going to change them. Buy another mid range tyre instead or even a budget & save money ;-)

Hold the road well, good braking in wet or dry, good wear, quiet tyre, reasonably priced.
08.01.2023fromKarl
These are a great tyre at a decent price point, and although the price has been creeping up, I would buy them again. The wet weather handling is especially good and gives real confidence in heavy rain.
10.11.2022fromWill Allen
Very confidence inspiring tyre sadly all four tyres started cracking badly at the base of the tread grove after only two years. I rated Avon tyres very highly in the past but I would never buy the brand again.
24.03.2020fromRicky
Was warned against this make and model by a friend in kwik fit who said the tyres perish and crack along the tread and I’m aft he was right. I only ignored his advice because they were cheap.

May try Michelin's soft wall tire next. The disappointing ride comfort may be due to the Monroe shocks which are not oem brand shocks.

This tyre was the original equipment tyre on the car & at your prices quite a bargain! If there are quieter tyres I would be interested to know what they are Road noise seems to be a weakness on Giuliettas!

Purchased to replace standard fitment for the Vectra as previous was damaged does what it says on the tin, Its round, its black, and follows the front ones, does what a tyre should do. good for noise, inside minimal, as for outside noise, don't know been too cold to open window, overall happy

Exceptional behaviour in wet .Good in dry conditions but not for extremely fast driving. Excellent breaking properties. Very high mileage!!
07.03.2022fromPatricia
Terrible grip especially on wet - went sliding on a roundabout with slow speed. Simply doesn’t grip on the road well. I have tried several tyres in my driving time but these sadly are one of the worst purchases I’ve made. I was hopeful as it’s Goodyear but it’s a huge disappointment. Don’t waste your money on this. The noise isn’t too bad, but fuel consumption is poor and so it’s the grip!
26.01.2022fromR
Nearly perfect road tyre in my opinion. I usually drive sensibly, but often "spirited" and found no major downsides, grips really well. ~2000 miles so far I don't see any wear at all (unlike the budget tyres I had before). The only drawback was going through puddles at speed, but I think that's more my car lacking a limited slip diff.
07.11.2021fromKrzys
I used to own Primacy 4's which I liked very much, but pricewise 4'were too expensive. I think Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are very comfortable tyres. They produce less internal noise when compared to Primacy 4's. Also Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are softer and less precise (just by marginal difference) than Primacy 4's. Overall I like Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 very much and I think these are safe, comfortable and well pierced premium tyres. I'll buy these tyres again for sure. I would say I should do around 45,000 km in this tyres (front axle) seeing current usage (1.3mm) after 8,500 km.

These tyres are good value and perform safely and well when used within legal parameters on UK roads. One slight negative is road surfaces can sometimes make tyre noise quite high but other than that I will definitely buy them again.
12.09.2024fromMichael
The tyres were 7/10 when I got them, the wet straight line grip is great the dry performance is above average. Quiet and comfortable tyres. The tyre wear is poor, I had new arms, tie rods, drop links and bushings as well as alignment done afterwards. The tyres showed excessive wear on the edge after only 8000 miles. I always check tyre pressure every week.

Summer Tyres 205/55 R16 – Tyres for the Great Distances

Summer tyres should be safe, durable and economical and the majority of tyre manufacturers ensure that their products offer just that. The big-selling summer tyres 205/55 R16 are found on many medium-sized family cars such as BMW 3 Series, Ford Focus, Renault Laguna, Mercedes C-Class, Seat Leon, Toyota Avensis, VW Golf.

In the warmer seasons, there are different weather conditions, which also make different demands on 205/55 R16 summer tyres. Therefore, the traction must be maintained at a permanently high level, both in dry and wet. The rubber compound of such tyres must not be too soft. Otherwise, they will suffer from a high level of wear, especially on hot road surfaces. Also, good 205/55 R16 summer tyres should cause the least possible rolling noise and equally low rolling resistance to ensure fuel-efficient driving.

Choosing the right tyres and keeping them in good condition not only saves on fuel consumption, but above all makes driving safer and, in many cases, avoids dangers and accidents. A good help in deciding on suitable 205/55 R16 summer tyres is provided by numerous manufacturer-independent magazines or automobile associations tests.

At Tyres-Outlet.co.uk we help you choose among all available summer tyres in 205/55 R16 size that best suit your driving needs and habit. We stock a wide variety of tyre types and models. Among others, the best summer tyres for 2017/18 according to Auto Express: Continental ContiPremiumContact 5, Dunlop Sport BluResponse, Bridgestone Turanza T001, Kumho Ecsta HS51, Hankook Ventus Prime3, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance, Falken Ziex ZE914 Ecorun, Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue. Pick your favourite and order today.
