Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Unlike some who write stuff thinking they&#39;re lewis hamilton, im not, but im no miss daisy either. Ive driven it pretty hard at times and whatever has been thrown at these tyres, wet or dry, they have stood up to it. Not a hint of losing it. Exactly what you expect, from mid range premium make tyres.

These are the B-Silent Model and they were 235/55 R19 105Y but this system will not let me specify 55 height. These tyres are absolutely brilliant! I fitted them on the rear and they stopped the road noise from the rear completely. I just wish I had not fitted something different to the front previously, as soon as the fronts wear out I will change to these. I have had no problem with grip, despite racing others around roundabouts.

Excellent in the wet, no hydroplaning or wheeljerk when driving into puddles at speed. This is my second set of this tyre for this reason.

Regularly drive in UK and Europe, both South and North, therefore need tyres h that can cope with a wide variety of road and weajther conditions. No practical time to change tyres one day dry roads, next day snow and ice, especially off-road where may go from abrasive tarmac to wet slippery clay slopes. I expect a 4 x4 to be able to cope with most conditoins and not get stuck, the tyrpes transfer the power and direction to the surface and these tyres are the best I have used for traction, wear, noise overall and dont add to the roll of the vehicle thanks to the wall strength. I will stick to these tyres all year round.

I&#39;ve had no problems with these tyres,they have performed perfectly on snow and ice,also wet and dry conditions no problems.they are not to noisy either,I can recommend these for a Land Cruiser

Not had snow but previous experience with these tyre on Nissan X trail was very good . I have used Nokian tyres for a number of years on several vehicles and found them to be the best performers I&#39;ve ever had. 45000 miles on front axle in X trail , fantastic!

Having used Pirelli Scorpions as a winter tyre before, I&#39;ve always been extremely happy with their performance. For a soft compound tyre the wear rate on them is surprisingly good - I usually get a good 3+ winters on them swapping them in in December and out again round about March. They get a lot of driving on pretty poor country roads as well as longer motorway runs and, when the weather gets bad, inspire a great deal of confidence. Grip on the snow is exceptional. They are a little noisier than the Pirelli P-Zeros that I run the rest of the year but that&#39;s to be expected - generally you only notice that when switching back to the summer tyres!

However the driving comfort in my electric car is not the same anymore with these tyres due to minor vibrations and no I don&rsquo;t have balancing issues so will switch back to Michelin when I need new tyres which won&rsquo;t be anytime soon.
