Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

This is a track review, I did a trackday at Snetterton on 13/11/2021 in wet / damp conditions. The tyre performed as well as the more expensive Uniroyal Rainsport 3&#39;s on my other set of wheels. I&#39;ve already given my opinion on them on the road and they are very good all round for a summer tyre.

My car has been mapped to 200bhp, the diesel Golf has a lot of torque but grip has been no problem at all with the 926&#39;s up front. They came on a set of wheels I bought and I didn&#39;t expect a lot from them but they have performed really well over the summer in both wet and dry conditions. They don&#39;t look like they have worn at all despite highly spirited driving around corners and roundabouts as well as a couple of drag races and some 0 - 60 launches. If you use the throttle like an on / off switch they will set off the traction control but no more than anything else would as far as I can tell. I haven&#39;t tried them in cold conditions yet and I&#39;m looking at using them on a trackday so will be interesting to see how they hold up. I&#39;ll be surprised if they are good in the cold as they are a summer tyre and only the best summer tyres will let you drive hard over winter. I&#39;ve looked up the prices and for the money they are good either way.

It&#39;s not a fast car so you push it round corners, I&#39;ve got them on the back so more to do with floating. Dry/wet work well, when pushed you feel the blocks moving about so you know the limit, haven&#39;t pushed over that, tend to get small stones stuck in tread but never cause a prob, would I buy again, well yes.

Fabulous tyres and exceptional wear, considering the price point of these, especially given my driving style. I&#39;ll definitely see over 20000 miles on these tyres which I find remarkable on a heavy car with over 400hp. Could I have better grip, sure for twice the price. Do you really need it, even for having fun on UK roads, no! They are soft rubber though, so you&#39;ll know if your alignment is out, these didn&#39;t last long on my Merc V Class!

Doing relatively high mileage of over 40k every year, I&#39;ve been through various different premium tyres over the years. Let me tell you, in the 5k miles on these tyres so far I&#39;d say they&#39;re pound for pound up there with premium tyres for everyday driving. I&#39;ve found them to be really good in the wet, no major drama with aquaplaning and my heavy right foot has encountered no issues in cornering. Strangely, I&#39;ve found that I&#39;m more confident with these in the wet than dry- they tend to be slightly unpredictable when pushing on. Not a massive issue by any means and shouldn&#39;t put anybody off, it&#39;s just highlighted by my spirited driving style! Wear seems to be decent so far, but as I said I&#39;ve only done 5k so far so too early to tell. All in all, great value for money and worth a try. On 20&#39;s, The Goodyear Eagle F1s that I had on previously were &pound;160 each, whereas I got these for &pound;115. 200 quid saved, and genuinely no worse performance. Well done Viking!
