Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

I have been buying Nankang tyres for all the cars in the family (5) for over 10 years. They are as good as any top brand tyre and normally half the price They perform just as well and last just as long. My collegue always buys top brands tyres yet he does not get any more mileage out of his. I have a selection of family car, SUV and saloons. These tyres perform perfectly well on all types of car. I will continue to by NanKang because they work and are very well priced

Excellent non run flat option for BMWs. Superior wet and cold weather grip compared to the standard fit of continental ssr3 runflats. SSR3s are fantastic in dry but deadly in cold and wet. Nankangs outperform in all areas only matched by the grip. I have used Nankangs for 20 years.

Taking into consideration I drive a low powered car the tyre performance has been excellent. Low noise and road handling is good in all conditions. Wear rate of the tyres obviously not as good as a premium tyre but this can be expected. An excellent choice of lower range tyre

Mixed driving from motorway in fully laden estate to short commute to work and inbetween. Not afraid to put foot down when needed but otherwise take my time. Tyres appear to function well in dry and wet conditions upto normal motorway speeds (by normal drivers) with good grip and economy. never felt the car loose grip due to wet road conditions either. Very happy so far and as long as they give good life i will happily buy again.

Overall good tyres, sidewall is a bit too flexy and it gives very vague steering feel. The rubber is resistant to wear and can handle repeated hot laps up to 5-10 then they start to lose grip. Quite fun tyre and very safe for normal road driving.
